We are The Reverends Lady Marquissa C. and John T. Harper, part of the ministerial team at F.A.M.E. Church (First African Methodist Episcopal) in Los Angeles, where our Senior Minister is the Dr. Cecil L. 'Chip' Murray.

As we enter this new millennium, our focus at F.A.M.E. Church is on the family. The most vital component of the forespoken is stronger marriages, essential in developing congregations.

Statistics indicate that 40 to 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce, casualties of which are the innocence of children. In the urban minority communities, those statistics are substantially higher, as the demographics of livelihood differ greatly from cosmopolitan society and suburban dwelling.

Our challenge is to facilitate a ministry that marries loving, living, and giving. The Commitments is the manifestation of that challenge. We encourage you to participate in the activities this year and help us heal each other.

Our focus is upon a universal church serving one God, thereby providing a universal ministry serving the holy estate of matrimony and family.
