Welcome to the Devotional Page

Thank you for visiting. Be still and know that God is Lord of all. We hope you find the scripture references uplifting and stimulating.

This week's scripture is from Genesis 3:1-4 (NASB):

" Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.' The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! "
"

Look closely at Eve's statement.  "God said we could not eat OR TOUCH the fruit of the tree of God and Evil."

WRONG!

In Chapter 2, verse 17, God only said they couldn't taste it.

Satan, knowing what the truth was, confused Eve and led to our downfall.  He didn't correct her (he's the father of all lies), he twisted the truth to serve his purpose.

It is incumbent, therefore, beloved, for us to know God's word, not adding a jot or tittle.

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a worker that needeth not to be ashamed; rightly dividing the word of truth."
